Travelling by tube

It's was okay, actually, fairly quiet ... but such a brown, wet, day. Why does it only rain when I'm having to walk?! (Or seem to, anyway.) Other than that, school was fine. Quite nice, really. Hope tomorrow is, too!

I can empathise with you. I travelled by bus today for the first time in years, an advantage of having a Scottish Executive bus pass! A 10 minute wait for the local bus in a horrible sleety wind, followed by a 10 minute walk to the bus station, getting wetter and colder by the minute! A half hour wait for another bus to the City of Discovery in a windy, but covered platform, then a 40 minute journey to another bus station. 15 minutes getting wet and cold and lost in the Big City till I saw the welcoming sight of the masts of the whaling ship which was my destination to meet up with W, who was attending a course. Instead of going shopping we decided to go to Dobbies where we has a coffee and a 2 hour wander before going to visit D and S-I-L for one of her speciality lasagnes for tea. Bella! D has not lost her touch. Unfortunately, apart from being wet and cold I was even more miserable than usual due to having glued my new denture to the roof of my mouth and had a horrible taste of mint all day and an uncomfortable mouth, particularly when eating or speaking which are two of my greatest joys! And you thought you had a bad hair day!
